COVER REVEAL
TITLE: Never Lose Hope
Williams & Company Book #1
Author: Anne Stone
Release Day: May 12th 2016

Samantha Jacobs is just trying to lead an average life. Her family has always been in the spotlight, and she’s tired of all the unwanted attention. She decides to work as an assistant at Williams & Company, a private security firm that specializes in protecting families and employees for major corporations. But after an affair, unplanned pregnancy, and tragedy upset her escape for normalcy, Sam runs back home to her parents for what she hopes is safety.
Jason Morgan, a retired Navy SEAL, is second in command at Williams & Company. He’s the special-ops person that’s called upon to rescue people from dangerous situations. Jason’s world is turned upside down after a failed mission leads to him being held captive by drug lords in South America. Once freed, he endures a long road to recovery, both physically and emotionally.
New tragedies catch up to Sam even as she attempts to outrun them. She must team-up with Jason and Williams & Company to uncover the facts surrounding her mother’s untimely death.
As Sam and Jason get closer to the truth, can Jason overcome the memories of his capture, and can Sam handle everything that’s been revealed before it overwhelms her?

“Sam, please stay. Don’t leave me. Don’t leave us.”
Sam looked Jason directly in the eyes and smiled. “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be here when you get back.”
She’d make him believe that she was staying, but she’d already made up her mind. She knew Jason was going out on a mission, and she was pretty sure he’d be gone several days. While he was gone, she was going to make her getaway. Mentally, she’d already started readying for her return home to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

•••••••••••••••

She heard a noise from behind her. She turned and was startled by the pair of eyes that greeted her. She was seeing things. It couldn’t be. At first glance she wasn’t even sure that it was him, but there before her stood Jason. He was as pale as a ghost and supported by a pair of crutches. His hair was long since he generally kept it military-short. His steel blue eyes were darkened from pain. He definitely didn’t look like the man she’d left behind six months ago. He had lost an inordinate amount of weight—he was gaunt, a shell unto himself. She was dreaming. It couldn’t be. She thought she heard her name but wasn’t sure. The light in the room began to fade, and a fog enveloped her as she slowly sank to the ground.

Angelina Samuels has lost the only job she’s ever held. A last minute interview lands her a new teaching job just days before the school year is about to begin. It turns out to be the best thing that could have happened when she realizes that her best friend from college, Gabriella Alvarez, is also a member of the teaching staff.

Gabriella’s brother, Alejandro, relocates to his hometown after having lived away from family and friends since he left for college to become a renowned transplant surgeon. He’s settling into a new job, reacquainting himself with family and friends, and is learning to deal ever-so-slowly with the personal loss that forever changed his life.

When Angelina’s sister experiences a health crisis, Alejandro is there to support her and her family. And when Angelina herself experiences a personal tragedy, Alejandro is the only one to guide her through it. As love stares down at them, can Angelina help Alejandro take that second chance on love and marriage?

Anne Stone has been a fan of romance since reading Katherine by Anya Seton her senior year of high school. book blurb

Blaise Knight is content. She owns a trendy, in-demand flower boutique, has great friends, and an obsession with red velvet cake. After a string of disappointing dates, Blaise decides to give up dating, and focus on the things that are most important to her.

Greyson Steele is the “family stud”. After his stint in the Delta Force, he is coerced into the family business. And, his manipulative mother is planning a wedding for him to a woman he can’t stand. But Greyson has other plans. At thirty-nine, Greyson is ready to settle down, but only with a woman he chooses. After meeting the fiery owner of Knight in Bloom, Greyson finds his match.

Sparks fly when Blaise and Greyson meet. Can he convince her to take a chance on him? Or will Blaise’s past ruin their chances for a future? Their romance forces Greyson on a chase halfway around the world to solve a mystery, and find his love.

excerpt

If Greyson had ever been nervous standing in front of a woman’s door before, he didn’t remember. But here and now, in front of Blaise’s, he could swear his palms were sweaty. I should have brought flowers, he thought. Then immediately rejected the idea. Flowers for the flower shop owner. Stupid idea. Besides, he has seen Blaise’s talent. Flowers from anywhere else would just be inferior. And, it was probably in bad taste to buy from a competitor. Greyson certainly didn’t need more reasons for Blaise to reject him.

Grateful that he had taken the time to change into well-worn jeans and a black t-shirt—may as well be comfortable while begging—he knocked on the door.

The door slid open. “Honey, I told you I was fine and you didn’t have to…”

Greyson was struck dumb by the sight before him. Mere hours before, Blaise was the epitome of grace and class. The gown she wore accentuated everything about Blaise that Greyson found sexy. But now. Damn. Her hair was piled on the top of her head in a messy bun, her face was clean of any cosmetics and she wore a men’s white button up shirt and white fluffy socks. Whether she had on anything under that shirt, Greyson didn’t know, but he ached to find out. To him, Blaise was sexier right at this moment than he had ever seen her.

“Hi.”

“What?” She frowned, and waved a spoon in his direction. He hadn’t noticed the carton of ice cream until then. “What are you doing here? How did you know where I live?”

“I’m here because you wouldn’t listen to me before. I need to explain.”

“You need to go home to your fiancée, Mr. Steele.”

“Goddamn it, Blaise. She’s not my fucking fiancée. That’s what I’m trying to tell you.”

Blaise raised an eyebrow, and Greyson wondered if she was aware of just how beautiful she looked right now.

“The ring and the woman say something different,” she shot back. “And, you certainly didn’t deny it at that moment. If you just broke up with her and came here, that’s even lower, Mr. Steele.”

Greyson let out a frustrated growl, and scrubbed his hands over his face. “May I come in?” he asked through gritted teeth.

“No.”

“Blaise.” The tone of his voice was one he used when he wanted to intimidate those around him to do as he demanded. He shouldn’t have been surprised when it didn’t even faze her.

“Do not ‘Blaise’ me. And, don’t you dare use that tone with me. I am not one of your employees, or lackeys or whatever. You have something to say, say it right here.” She leaned against the door jamb, crossing her ankles, and waited. Digging the spoon into the carton, Blaise looked up at him. “And, don’t think I don’t realize you totally skipped over my question of how you found out where I live.”

He watched her wrap her lips around the spoon. Just as he had when he sat at dinner with her a few nights ago, he found watching her eat completely erotic. And, as much as her stubbornness irked him, he couldn’t help but feel an equal—or more—amount of respect for her.

“Fine,” he sighed. If he had to do this out in the hallway, so be it. “I am not engaged. That’s the most important thing I need you to know.” He held up a hand when she opened her mouth. “If you’re going to make me talk out here, the least you can do is hear me out.”

Her jaw tightened with annoyance, but she nodded before taking another bite of what he could now see was Ben & Jerry’s Coffee, Coffee flavor.

“I’m not engaged,” he repeated. “I’ve never been engaged, and I certainly would never even contemplate marrying Pricilla. She surprised the shit out of me with the ring, as well, which is why I didn’t say anything. It’s my mother’s ring, but I didn’t give it to her. Fuck, I wouldn’t give that hideous thing to anyone.” He took a deep breath. “I was there with Pricilla because my mother asked me to escort her. ‘Keeping up appearances’, she calls it. Padding her fucking portfolio by trying to merge the families is what it really is. I’ve already resigned myself to taking over the family business. I refuse to give her this. Tonight was a mistake. I should never have agreed to it.” He braved a step closer to her. “I never wanted to hurt you, or make you think I’m that kind of bastard.”

meet the author

I’ve been in Houston, Texas, writing novels and designing websites since 2009. Moving here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, because I’ve been able to live wonderfully, and write my heart out. I’ve always enjoyed the arts in one form or another. Music sets the mood, reading stimulates my brain, and writing allows me to utilize my imagination in any way I want. I’ve been writing stories since I was a teen, and figured out writing was my passion when I finished my first novel, Something About Eve.

I love being captivated by books that lead me into different, exotic places, and through impossible scenarios. I love being able to become someone else for a time. Reading has always inspired me to bring my own characters out to play. My hope is that my writing will inspire others, or at the least, give them a way to escape from everyday life for a little while.

As web designer, etc. for singer/actress Deborah Gibson, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in wonderful experiences, travel around the country and meet exciting people. Just recently, I was able to travel to Berlin, and meet some fantastic people. It’s experiences like this, I believe, that help me create unique, and (hopefully) lovable characters.

I will be continuing the LA Lovers series with Ellie’s book next. Each book will be a stand-alone, but look for Eve, Lainey, and Adam to show up here and there. I truly hope you enjoyed Blaise and Greyson. You’ll be able to see more of them in the next book!

I spend my time writing, designing websites and caring for what is really a zoo with 3 dogs, 2 cats, a bearded dragon, 2 frogs and 2 turtles. In the recent years, I’ve changed my lifestyle to include working out and eating right. I now compete in triathlons, have run two half-marathons, and love yoga.

I love bringing my characters out for everyone to meet. My goal is to keep writing in many different genres, as I feel there shouldn’t be anything limiting writers.

She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

EXCERPT

“What are you doing?” she asked, her eyes wide on his.

“Getting comfortable. Now, what did you want to talk about?”

“We’re getting into this already?”

“I like to have things out on the table. It makes moving forward a helluva lot easier. So do you want to start, or should I?”

Well, with him looming over her like he was, she was disinclined to say much of anything really. Her stomach was twisting with so many nerves, she was lightheaded. The last time anyone had made her feel anything like it, she was in the tenth grade and facing down a yearlong crush.

That was a tickle compared to what Blake made her feel.

Taking her silence as answer, Blake jumped right in. “Okay, my reason for being here then.” He turned to face her, his jacket creaking as he stretched his arm across the back of the sofa. “I did some thinking, and I was wrong. I like having a woman in my bed more than a night. Hell, I like having a woman in my bed, period. And it’s been a while since that happened.”

A thrill bubbled in her chest as Gabby took this in. “Are you saying you changed your mind?”

“About you being in my bed? Absolutely.”

“I don’t know what to say. What changed your mind?”

A dark smile played about his lips and his hand came up to play with her hair. “That kiss. I haven’t gotten a single good night’s sleep since. It’s all I think about.”

“Me too,” she confessed.

“Good, then we’re in agreement?”

“Ah…about what, exactly.”

“About you being in my bed. Not every night of course. And when I say you’re in my bed, I mean my bed, Gabby, no one else’s. I don’t share.”

“Of course not,” she said automatically, then frowned. “I haven’t even agreed to anything yet, and you’re talking like it’s a done deal.”

Moving closer, Blake slipped his fingers into her hair, cupping the back of her head and demanding her undivided attention. “You’ve been thinking about me. About our kiss.”

Her tongue dragged over her bottom lip in answer, and his gaze latched onto the movement.

“I assume you want more?”

She nodded, her answer coming in the form of a rapidly increasing heart rate and the inability to breathe without opening her mouth. Which only invited his delectable mouth closer.

“Because I want more, and, Gabby?”

“Hmmm?”

He leaned in, his mouth hovering over hers. “I get what I want. Always.”

An invitation to his bed and an excuse to touch and be touched by him any time she wanted? Who was she to argue?

Blurb for Yes, Justin by Michele Zurlo

After fifteen years and two kids, the romance has fled from Trish’s marriage. When a friend introduces her to BDSM, she decides it’s what she wants—to have her body and soul mastered by a man who is completely focused on her. And that’s not her husband, whose life revolves around his career.

Justin isn’t shocked when he finds out his wife is planning to cheat on him. They’ve been drifting apart for years, and he hates it. To save their marriage, he’ll carry out her kidnap fantasy, fulfill her desire to be dominated, and force her to confront the reasons she wanted to be there in the first place.

Enjoy this excerpt of Yes, Justin by Michele Zurlo

Zurlo Yes Justin 2Steam wafted from the tub. She turned off the faucet and eased herself into the water. Cream coated the insides of her thighs, and sweat made other parts of her sticky. She wanted to be clean for Justin. Not since her wedding day had she so wanted to floor Justin with her appearance.

She washed and ran fresh water. Her time was almost up. Maybe he would join her in the tub. Maybe he would bend her over the side and fuck her. Maybe he would tie her to the door. Desire flared, and her hand crept lower, caressing her thigh before finding her soft folds. She pressed her clit. The little nub was already hard and ready.

“I told you not to do that.”

Her eyes flew open. She hadn’t heard the door. Her body was submerged to her shoulders, meaning she could only feel the cool air he brought on her face.

She smiled the most inviting smile she could muster. “I was just thinking about you.”

He pressed his lips together. Instead of feeling defensive, as she usually felt whenever he displayed this expression, she felt the tingle of anticipation.

“Stand up and let the water out.”

She did as he commanded, flipping the lever for the drain with her toe. He wrapped a towel around her and lifted her from the tub. She reached to take the towel from him so she could dry off, but he shook his head.

“No, Trish. You belong to me. I’ll take care of you.”

He patted her dry, and then he turned to the array of after-bath products on the counter. They were hers. She hadn’t noticed those before.

“Lie on the massage table, face down.”

The table had a place for her face to rest. She did as he commanded. He traced paths down her arms, across her shoulders, over her back and legs. There was no continuity to his pattern. He explored, leaving gooseflesh in his wake. Patricia shivered.

“I’m going to take out the plug. I need you to relax.”

A tug and it was gone. The sensation of fullness disappeared, leaving her feeling abandoned and empty. The wet sound of lotion being pumped caught her attention.

Not once in fifteen years had he ever attempted to do anything like this. As he rubbed in the cream, his hands massaged and caressed. It was as erotic as it was tender, as sexy as it was sweet.

“Turn over.”

Zurlo Yes JustinHe paid the same attention to the front of her body, lingering over her breasts and kneading them with care. When he finished, she felt like liquid. She could assume any shape he wanted. She would do anything he commanded. He brushed his finger over her lips, rubbing in her favorite lip balm.

“Spread your legs, slave.”

The narrowness of the table required her to bend her knees and drop her legs over the side. He teased her folds with the same gentle pressure he had used on her back. Wetness smeared where he touched. The massage had done its job.

“So wet, my slave. So wet for me.”

She wanted him to press harder, to thrust his fingers inside and fuck her with them. He withdrew, and she held in a whimper of protest.

Blurb for In His Hands by Raven McAllan

Raven McAllen

In Monsoon season in Hong Kong, anything can happen…Even so, the last thing Caness Clacher expected was to meet a Dom. The very man who made her want to sink to her knees and say, ‘Yes, Sir’. Unbeknown to her Patrick Lim had waited a long time to claim Caness as his sub. Without electricity and with a monsoon raging, it’s time to explore their desires. Will the elements work in their favor or not… Only time—and a scene—will tell.

“Sodding monsoon, stops everything.”

He looked down the alley toward the main road, where the traffic was queuing in a never-ending stream of vehicles streaming past, even if it was at a slow, slower or stop and start pace. “Everything?”

His raised eyebrow made her chuckle. “Almost everything. But the two hour get home or be stranded warning was over an hour ago. I’m on borrowed time. Fuck. Look, Mr. Whoever, nice to meet you, and all that, but seriously I aught to go.”

“You aught to be spanked for language like that. Don’t let me hear it again. Unless of course you want a spanking. That would be my pleasure.”

To judge by the gush of liquid that dampened her panties yet again, it would be her pleasure as well.

Oh lordy. “Look you still haven’t told me who you are, so this seems a bit stalkerish, and well, scary. Corporal punishment scary.”

His eyes widened and he waggled one long finger in front of her face. An intricately carved ring of twisted silver shone in the ever-increasing gloom. “You don’t really think that. I watched your face when you realized what this jewelry was for.” He took hold of her chin and pressed a swift kiss to her lips. Before she even registered what he intended to do, he’d moved back and straightened. “Patrick Lim at your service. Now, pet, get your sweet booty inside, and let me lock up.”

So I wasn’t far wrong.

“This is yours?” She gestured at the gallery.

“All mine.” He patted her bum, somewhat harder than a gentle move it tap, but not a full on spank—more was the pity. “I don’t ask twice and I do expect to be obeyed.”

He does? Lord almighty. “What are you?” she blurted, and could have cut her tongue out at her tumbled breathless words. They would set a good impression, not. “Are you a silversmith?”

He turned and did that bloody sexy one eyebrow raised thing again, before he inclined his head. “A master.” He invested the word with something indefinable. Whatever it was made her swallow and drop her gaze to his feet, clad, she’d bet her weeks salary, in Gucci loafers.

“Oh I like that.” His words were soft but the intent in them made her lift her head sharply and shut her eyes briefly.

If he meant what she thought he meant, she was in big trouble. Caness shook her head again and wet strands of hair flicked water towards him, splattering his suit and cheeks. Droplets ran down her chest and pooled in her cleavage. That was all she needed.

He watched one errant raindrop chase another one across her skin and under the neck of her blouse. “That is where my tongue should be.”

What?

“Look,” Caness said desperately. “I’ll be fine if I go now. I don’t want to take you out of your way.”

He turned toward the window, and lifted the silver jewelry out. “Give me five minutes and we’ll be on our way. And before you come up with excuses, I know where you live. Glorianna Villas in Sai Kung.”

“How? No don’t tell me, Anthony told you.”

Patrick pulled the window blinds down, and locked the door. “Amongst other things.” He looked over his shoulder at her as he moved into a back room. “Here you are, catch.” A second later a fine linen towel flew through the air toward her. Caness caught it automatically.

“He worries.” His voice became faint and she heard the clank of a heavy metal door. Presumably he was putting the jewelry in the safe. It must be worth thousands.

Damn, I’d love to have tried it on.

“What other things?” she asked suspiciously as she tried to dry her hair, cleavage, and legs. Wet stockings were the pits, but there was no way she was going to take them off. No doubt he’d come back in and see her with her skirt bunched up around her ass and her lacy underwear on show. Caness was a great believer in the motto, “if you look good under your camouflage you’ll feel good and act it.” She might have to present an image of a banker on the outside—whatever that image was—however what she wore underneath her prim and proper suits was anything but.

“That you’re denying your true needs because there’s no one strong enough to take you on.”
