excerpt

I turned around to come face to face with green piercing eyes. My breath caught and I felt like I was going to pass out. No way was I standing in front of Hayes Morgan. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t breathe, and I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t do anything but look into his beautiful eyes.

“Mac?” he finally managed, his voice cracking.

“Yeah,” I whispered.

He reached his hand out like he was going to touch me then dropped it. “I can’t believe it’s you. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever see you again.”

I pulled my eyes away from him to notice the beautiful girl standing beside him with her arm wrapped around his forearm. “It’s really me. It was nice seeing you, but I have to go.”

The Without Rules Series #3
By Tyffani Clark Kemp
Publication Date: September 11th, 2014
Published by: SideStreet Cookie Publishing
After the loss of her husband and her preterm baby, Mariss Red is finally starting to put her life back together. She’s in a semi-stable relationship and her publishing business is doing well. None of that can fill the hole in her heart, but she’s a survivor. Her newest obstacle? Maneuvering the hazy boundaries of an open relationship with a man who can’t be bound by rules.
Sebastian Boa, The Man Without Rules, struggles to live an honorable life. Mariss meets and approves any woman he happens to bring home and things are going well, aside from the occasional miscommunication. It’s bound to happen, since he’s never been in a steady relationship before. But he knows Mariss is keeping something from him, and he knows it’s probably another man.
A trip to Paris is meant to be a romantic break for the strange couple, but it ends up in disaster when Sebastian catches Mariss with her secret lover. Add a crazed fangirl trying to seduce Sebastian, a man who has found that rules just might work for him after all. If it means he keeps Mariss in his life. It seems The Power Couple may never catch a break.

I was born and raised in Southern California.  I received my Master’s Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills.  I have worked in nursing for over fifteen years.  I have worked in multiple areas of nursing.  However, my passion is for emergency medicine.  Oh the stories I can tell.
My passion wasn’t always nursing.  When I started college, I wanted to be a writer.  However, I had a teacher that made me less then happy about writing and I chose to go into nursing.  Since then, I have always had stories in my head that I wanted to put on paper but never found the time.
I married my wonderful husband whom I met while working in the intensive care unit.  We have three active and amazing boys that consistently keep me on my toes.  We spend a lot of time watching the boys baseball games, snowboarding in Mammoth, and watching the oldest son play high school football.  I happen to be the photographer for his team and I spend a lot of time on the field!
So with all of the activities in my life, where do I find the time to write?  Needless to say, I am an insomniac.  When I am not up in the middle of the night reading, I get up about five in the morning and start writing.  Most days, this gives me an hour and a half to write as much as I can.  During the summer months, I am blessed with a lighter schedule and more time to put my thoughts to paper.
