This has not been edited and may certainly change before publication. I hope that you all enjoy a little of Bentley!
One eye barely open, I glanced around the room, desperate for it to stop spinning. There’s a faint moan beside me, and when I carefully turned my head towards it, I saw brunette hair splayed across the pillow and down the back of a naked chick. My eyes slowly move down to the small of her back—my favorite part of a woman’s body.
I stopped when I recognized the Celtic tattoo and quickly lifted the sheet to see if I had my briefs on, I did. I slowly sat up to look for any evidence of last night’s shit show. No condom…no wrapper, thank God.  Lube and a vibrator? What the hell?
“What are you doing?” giggled Amanda as her cold claws rubbed my back. I tried to straighten out of her grip. “Baby relax, let’s finish what we started last night,” She whispered in my ear before kissing the side of my neck.
“Did we?”
“No, you passed out before the party really got started. I had to use my vibrator to finish the job.”
“Uh, sorry about that.” I pulled her hands off me.
“Why don’t you make it up to me, Bentley? Like the good ol’ days, back in high school. I miss this.” she growled, grabbing my dick.
I shot out of the bed and scrambled for my pants.
“Where are you going?” Amanda grabbed my shirt and threw it over herself.
“I…ah…I need to go.” I stuttered, trying to put my shoes on without falling flat on my face.
“Bentley.” Amanda whined, throwing my shirt at me.
Bang-Bang-Bang, “Bentley get your ass up. We gotta go.” Curtis yelled.
“Thank Christ.” I mumbled under my breath as I pulled my shirt over my head.
“That’s it? You’re going to leave me like this, wet and wanting you? Needing you to fill me?” moaned Amanda.
“Sorry, Amanda, but I gotta go. Curtis and I already made plans.”  I opened the door and looked at my best friend.
“Bentley Knight before you walk out that door, you better think long and hard. There will not be a third time.”
“There shouldn’t have been a second,” I toss over my shoulder and ducked just in time to miss a glass as it shattered on the wall in front of me. I closed the door and looked over to Curtis, laughing his ass off. “Let’s get the fuck out of here.”

Guest Appearance By Nina Pierce Donna’s&Denise’s Review on her newest release In His Eyes 1/30/14

Good morning , Today we have a guest  Nina Pierce and she is her to tell us us a little about herself and her newest Release  … Welcome Nina Pierce  I so love her sisters series ..
When Life hands you Lemons … Grab the Tequila and
by Nina Pierce – Jan 30, 2014
Hi, I’m Nina Pierce and may I just say I’m happy to be here
at Spreading the Word blog today. And though I’ve been writing fulltime for the
last nine years, (of course like most writers, I’ve been writing since I could
hold a crayon, but that’s another story all together)  there are, no doubt, many of you who don’t
know my story. People often wonder what ever possesses a writer to actually sit
down and pound out their first manuscript. I think the most common answer is
that they were driven to do it. Nothing works right in their world if they’re
not sitting down letting the characters in their head have some play time on
the page.
But my story is different. Much different.
Let me first start by telling you I have a degree in Marine
Biology. Not English or European literature—Science. I grew up on the beautiful
coast of Maine where the tide pools are plentiful and the water is clear and
cold. Very cold! I dreamed of one day working beside Jacques Cousteau. But as I
went through college I found out something else about myself … I love to teach.
Anything. To anyone. And darn if I wasn’t good at it. So I minored in education
and got my secondary education teaching certificate.
About 18 years ago I landed the job of my heart. I taught
environmental science at an outreach facility where students from pre-K to
adult came for my classes, many which took place outdoors. I was in heaven! I
loved working there and would have happily continued if fate hadn’t stuck her
foot out and tripped me up.
You see, in the early 90’s I was diagnosed with multiple
sclerosis, a degenerative disease that eats away at the sheathing around the
nerves in your brain causing faulty wiring. It attacks people differently,
causing different symptoms and problems. People with MS rarely look the same to
doctors. Unfortunately there is no cure, but wonderful advances in medicine to
keep disability to a minimum. I lived years without showing symptoms.
But nine years ago it was becoming painfully obvious that
the disease had progressed to the point where I would be unable to keep up with
the physical demands of my job. Not one to sit around and do nothing, I
searched through my bag of talents and tried to find something I thought I
could do sitting on my butt. For whatever reason, I looked to writing.
(Probably because I’ve always had something to say.)  Anyway, I took a writing class at the local
university, joined Romance Writers of America, found a local chapter of
like-minded authors and VOILA! a career was born!
And I haven’t looked back.
When asked what the hardest transition is I’d have to say
changing my thought process. Because I taught science I always catalogued the
world around me, put it in simple terms to use later in a lesson plan. Now, I
look at the world as a whole lot of “what ifs”. What if that couple in the
store were having an affair? What if a virus killed off most of the male
population? What if shapeshifters actually existed? A whole TON of
I am really happy writing stories, letting my imagination
take my characters places I can’t go and living out adventures I can no longer
My newest novel, IN HIS EYES, is a romantic thriller set on
where else … the coast of Maine.
It’s always wonderful to be noticed … or
is it?
To those around her, Maggie Callaghan appears to have the
perfect life…a handsome husband, three beautiful children, and her own
business. But beneath her thin veneer lies a dark past and self-doubts. When
evidence of her husband’s infidelity surfaces, Maggie leases a cottage on the
Maine coast and prepares for her inevitable divorce. But a serial killer is on
the hunt—and he’s marked Maggie as his next victim. Now her beachside retreat
is the focus of an undercover FBI investigation targeting the murderer who’s
left a trail of bodies across two states. As lies and secrets are revealed,
Maggie realizes her life depends on knowing who’s protecting her—and who’s got
her in his sights.
Like most nights, he sat in the alabaster sand, sifting grains slowly
from hand to hand as if measuring time. Watching.
Always watching.

People rarely saw him, unless he chose for it to be so. And the woman
meandering along the water’s edge was no exception. She had no idea he was
admiring her. Appraising her. Measuring her.

With the tide so low, he’d been able to study the exotic creature
whose hair rode the wind like black silk. She dragged her feet in the shallow
surf, her eyes cast down as if the ebb and flow of the ocean could soothe away
her troubles. The dip of her chin and the graceful arch of her neck spoke of a
heavy burden.
She walked without a companion. Alone was good.
Lord, she was beautiful.
The sadness that curved her body in on itself made her that much more
irresistible. He imagined he could hear the sweet strains of her loneliness
carried on the evening breeze.
He didn’t know he was searching. Didn’t realize the moment had come
It had been a long time since he’d found someone who obviously
hungered for the kind of solace only he could offer. He replayed the scene over
and over again, long after she’d left the beach, long after the day had
surrendered to the night. How serendipitous for her to be here on his beach.
He sat, quietly measuring time in handfuls of sand, thinking about the
grace of her walk, the gentle swell of her hips and breasts, the lovely mane of
hair—and he knew.
You are the one. I’ve been
waiting for you.
In the solitude of the new moon, he sat for a long time committing to
memory every detail of their encounter and formulating a plan to make the woman
his own. Satisfied, he strolled back to his cottage—his heart and soul as dark
as the murky shadows swallowing him.
Donna’s Review 5 Stars *****
Fantastic book, Nina Pierce. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t guess who the killer was until right at the end. You kept it well hidden in the book. This was a great story about Alex and Maggie Callahan. They had some trouble in their marriage and separated for awhile. They took turns staying at a beach house and while there, Maggie caught the eye of a killer who started to trail her and keep tabs on what she was doing. The story takes a turn when bodies start appearing and the police try to find the killer. As Maggie and Alex try to repair their marriage, the killer is more determined to get to Maggie. This story will hold your interest and keep you guessing. It is a great read

Invincible by Alana Albertson Cover Reveal 1/24/14

Cover Reveal Link:

Title: Invincible

Author: Alana Albertson

Genre: New Adult Romantic Thriller

Organized by: Indie Sage, LLC

Tentative Release Date: February 23, 2014

Read Chapter One:

I’ll be honest with you—I’m no hero. Sure—the media tries to brand every Navy SEAL as some kind of Batman dressed in cammies. There’s even a line in one of our cadences—”superman is the man of steel, he ain’t no match for Navy SEAL.” You’ve seen the movies—we’re indestructible, invincible, invulnerable. But that night, the one you read about in the papers—all I really wanted to do was get laid.

One harmless fuck with a Curaçao whore—no strings attached. I picked her out of a lineup—wild, dark hair, long legs and a crooked smile. After she sucked me off, I relaxed back onto the creaky, cum-stained cot, thankful for the blissful moments she gave me when I actually forgot for a second the faces of my buddies who died because I made the wrong call, the tears of the children I couldn’t save, and the eyes of the enemies I slaughtered during their last seconds of life.

But before I left, her green eyes peered into my soul. She whispered in a distinct So Cal accent, “My name is Annie Baylis. I’m an American citizen. I was kidnapped from a cruise ship five years ago. You’re my last hope. Please save me.”

One desperate plea. This wasn’t a Hollywood blockbuster or a New York Times best-selling thriller. I knew that this time there was no room for excuses, no margin for errors. I had one chance to put the cape on and be her hero.

Just Shoot Me By Becky Mcgraw Cover Reveal 1/22/14

Just Shoot Me (Cowboy Way, #1) a new series by Becky McGraw, author of the Texas Trouble Series

Tina Montgomery needs to find her Texas Tomcat. Her promotion and livelihood depend on it. That promotion could mean a new life for her, her sister and her niece. It’s a big risk however, because if she fails in her bid to head up a new menswear line at her company, she could lose everything. That’s why finding the perfect model to represent the line has become her sole focus. At the point of thinking she would …never find that man, one with both experience and attitude that shows in his face and eyes, she meets Dean Dixon. His gorgeous eyes tell a story she definitely wants to hear and the man has more attitude than any she’s ever met. Physically he’s perfect for the job. But that attitude she thought she wanted in her cowboy quickly becomes her biggest downfall when she tries to convince the sexy, but hard-hearted rancher to help her.
Dean Dixon is done with women. His cheating ex-wife has shown him just how untrustworthy women are. He has a ranch to run, and a son who might not be his to raise alone. That’s more than enough for any man to handle without dealing with his sister-in-law’s friend who is determined to convince him to model for her company. He has seen what that industry has done to his brother. Dean is a rancher, not a model, and he isn’t about to abandon his family or fall into the same trap his brother had. He stands his ground, until his sister-in-law tells him why Tina needs the promotion she’s wanting so badly, and asks for his help. Hope had bailed him and his family out when they needed her the year prior. How could he refuse to help her now?
“Just do the damned photo shoot, Dean,” Cord said following behind him.
“I’d rather be shot.  I’ll even load the shotgun for you,” Dean offered tossing the saddle onto the saddle rack.  “I’m not going to shave all the damned hair off my body, and coat myself in oil so I can prance around in my underwear.  I’ll leave that to you, baby brother.”
“I did not prance around in my underwear,” Cord corrected indignantly.
“But you did shave your ass, so you looked like a ten-year-old boy.  I saw the proof in those magazines.”
“You saw my pictures?” Cord asked with surprise.
To Dean’s own surprise his brother’s face heated, and he looked a little embarrassed.  Embarrassed wouldn’t begin to describe how Dean would feel if he were in his brother’s shoes. And that is exactly where Tina Montgomery wanted to put him.  So she could get a promotion.  What the fuck did he get out of it, other than getting the money to pay back a loan he didn’t even take out?
Cord and Hope had decided on that plan of action themselves, without his permission or knowledge even.  But that loan had saved the ranch, and saved his Daddy’s life.  It also resulted in his brother settling down.  Dean did owe her a lot.
“Yeah, I saw ‘em.”  He’d seen his brother shaved and shirtless looking like a greased pig in those jeans ads in every fucking magazine and newspaper he picked up.  Why women would want to see a man like that, Dean didn’t know.  It might sell jeans, but it just wasn’t reality.  He knew one thing for sure. That was not how he wanted the world, his family or his son to see him.
“Is shaving the only thing you have against doing it?” Cord asked following him out of the tack room, then back down the aisle toward Blaze.
“Hell no, it’s not the only thing,” Dean grated.  His brother had been gone too long to remember how much work it took to run this ranch.  For three years, Dean had been the one doing that work.  “Who is going to manage this ranch while I’m off prissing in front of a camera?  And I have a son to raise,” Dean replied shortly, as he grabbed the towel off of his shoulder and rubbed at the sweat on Blaze’s black coat.
“I’ll do the work.    Just tell me what you want done, and I’ll make sure it gets done.  Mama and I will help with Jeremy, while you’re shooting.  Besides, you’ll be here too.”
“She wants to take the pictures out here?” Dean asked.
“That’s what Tina told Hope on Saturday.  I agreed, because we need the money.”
His brother sure agreed to a lot on his own these days.  But he was right this time, they did need the damned money even if it didn’t go toward paying Hope back.  Dean couldn’t help but wonder how much is dignity was worth.  “Did she mention how much?”
“Probably a grand an hour for your time, and she offered five to use the ranch for the location.”
Dean’s heart shot to his throat, and his knees went weak.  “Holy, fuck!” he shouted as the towel slipped from his hand to the dirt floor.
A cocky smile eased up his brother’s mouth.  The same smile Dean had seen on his face in those magazines, the same one that women all over the country seemed to go weak-kneed over.  “A lot more than ranching or rodeoing, huh?” Cord asked smugly.
“That’s just stupid.  Those companies have more money than sense,” Dean said trying to regulate his breathing.
“Understand now why I shaved my ass and moved to Dallas?”
Dean picked up the towel, then met his brother’s eyes.  “No, I’ll never understand why you abandoned your family for money.”  Dean made one more pass over Blaze’s back with the towel, while he thought about it.  He didn’t have much choice really.  Hope was forcing his hand.  Dean hated to be pressured into anything, and usually came out fighting when it happened.  This time his sister-in-law had him down on the mat for the count.  “I’ll do it, but I’m not shaving my ass,” he said firmly.
“You got it. No ass shaving,” Cord agreed with a chuckle.  “I’ll let Hope know, so she can call Tina.”
